Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention.

From the google web definition;

Novelty - The concept that the claims must be totally new. The invention must never have been made public in any way, anywhere, before the date on which the application for a patent is filed. In the US this is determined by the date of invention.

Creativity - Creativity is a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight.

Innovation - Innovation is a new way of doing something or "new stuff that is made useful". It may refer to incremental and emergent or radical and revolutionary changes in thinking, products, processes, or organizations.

Invention - An invention is a new composition, device, or process. An invention may be derived from a pre-existing model or idea, or it could be independently conceived in which case it may be a radical breakthrough.

From my point of view, all of this terms somehow can be related to each others. Creativity is usually related to the new ideas and concepts. In order to make that new ideas work, then innovation come into place. Innovation is more to practicality and idea development. For novelty, it's really subjective because we can't fully sure that something we created is really new and original. For invention, in order to be the inventors, we need to gather all of the existing knowledge and create new ideas. Creativity and innovation also playing important role for invention.

Imagine that in this world, there are billions of people. Everyday they keep on generating the new ideas. But how many of the new ideas were successfully be implemented to our life??
